Adapting to climate change & low carbon living

Burning fossil fuels like coal and oil releases carbon dioxide. Carbon Dioxide is a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere resulting in global rises in temperature. Rises in temperature increase the likelihood of extreme weather events such as storms, droughts, heat waves and floods. Changes in temperature can also impact on human health, agriculture and food prices, infrastructure, human and animal migration.

The world is looking to transition to using less harmful sources of energy.
