Prof Paul Salveson MBE joins the panel

Professor Paul Salveson MBE is a visiting professor in transport and logistics at the University of Huddersfield. He was awarded an MBE for services to the railway industry in 2009. He is a board member of Passenger Focus and a trustee of Campaign for Better Transport. He is general secretary of the Hannah Mitchell Foundation, which lobbies for northern devolution, and a member of Yorkshire First.

He is Group Advisor for Arriva UK Trains which has the franchises for Chiltern Railways, Cross Country, Arriva Trains Wales, DB Region Tyne and Wear Metro, a half-share in London Overground and owns Grand Central.

Paul’s PhD is in Lancashire working class literature and culture. He is an author and has written for publications including the Guardian.
